Our Philosophy

We Built What Should Have Existed 10 Years Ago

Medical education technology has been selling the same disconnected tools for two decades. We started over from first principles — one knowledge graph, one platform, one career.

The Crisis in Healthcare Technology

Modern healthcare IT has created more problems than it solved.

The Current Reality

Physicians spend more time on screens than with patients

EHR systems designed for billing, not healing

Siloed platforms that don't communicate

AI that tries to replace clinicians rather than support them

What We Believe Is Possible

AI that handles administrative burden invisibly

Technology that enhances clinical intuition

A unified platform that learns and adapts

Physicians restored to their true calling: healing

EHR Documentation Burden

5.8 hours per 8 scheduled patient hours spent in EHR

National Comparison of Ambulatory Physician EHR Use (2024)

Documentation Impedes Care

77% of healthcare professionals say documentation impedes patient care

AMIA 25x5 Task Force (2024) Executive Summary

Stop Bolting Rockets onto Horses

Legacy healthcare systems are trapped in the past, bolting AI features onto outdated architectures. It's like strapping a rocket to a horse — impressive engineering, but fundamentally the wrong approach.

The Underlying Issue

Current AI adds speed to broken workflows. You're still context-switching between EMRs, transcription tools, research platforms, and study apps — even the latest AI can't see across these disconnected systems.

The Evolution Imperative

True transformation requires a new foundation. Just as the automobile didn't improve the horse, next-generation healthcare AI demands an entirely new architecture — one unified intelligence layer.

Legacy vs Next-Generation Healthcare Technology

Three Philosophical Shifts

Ignite is built on fundamental beliefs about what healthcare technology should be.

From Extraction to Regeneration

Current systems extract value from physicians through endless documentation. We build technology that regenerates their capacity to heal by removing cognitive burden.

From Replacement to Enhancement

AI should never attempt to replace the physician. Our technology enhances human clinical judgment, providing context and insights while keeping the human at the center.

From Harm-as-Profit to Net-Positive Outcomes

Healthcare technology incentives must align with patient outcomes and physician wellbeing — not with creating administrative complexity that generates revenue.

"The best technology disappears. It doesn't demand attention — it quietly handles complexity so humans can focus on what matters most. In healthcare, that means letting physicians be physicians again."
Built on Published Research

Research Foundations

Our architecture is informed by the latest advances in medical AI — from foundational models to knowledge graph reasoning designed specifically for healthcare complexity.

Why Family Medicine First?

Family Medicine is the broadest specialty in medicine — the perfect proving ground for a platform that needs to understand all of clinical medicine.

1/3

of all healthcare visits are to primary care physicians

$13

saved downstream for every $1 invested in primary care

40K

projected primary care physician shortage by 2036

83%

growth in independent primary care practices, 2018–2023

Family Medicine is our beachhead — not our ceiling. Every feature we build for FM generalizes across all ABMS specialties. Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine content is already in development, with OB/GYN and more to follow.

About the Founder

Dr. Bhaven Murji

Dr. Bhaven Murji

Ignite's philosophy emerged from real frontline experience. Dr. Murji trained at St. George's University of London, served on COVID frontlines in the UK, practiced as a locum physician in rural Wales, and completed residency in the US — experiencing firsthand how healthcare technology fails physicians across different systems.

As Chief Resident and through his work in EMR optimization, he saw brilliant colleagues crushed by digital paperwork. The solution wasn't another patch — it was a complete paradigm shift toward clinically applicable medical intelligence.
